Arabian mare?

I looked at some Arabian horses at a local farm the other day and this mare caught my eye. I know it's not a good picture for real good confirmation but is there anything glaringly wrong with the mare? She wasn't the horse I originally went out to look at so by the time they showed me her I was out of time to really get a good opinion on the horse or a good picture. Hopefully sometime next week I'll be able to get a good picture, pending the weather.

I also, unfortunately, don't have very much information on her. I do know that she's under 15, purebred with papers and has been ridden. I also know that the owner is willing to do a trial period.

LOL, really difficult to say anything else than cute fuzzy looking horse from that one pic.

Her head does not look very typey there, but then nor do any of my arabs!

Now I can't refer back to the pick, but from memory looks a littel straight through the pasterns and has a fairly typical looking Arab rump.

To better help you, would need to know more about you, and want you are planning for your horse, also more about her and her history and pics, yes we need better pics:wink:

From what you can see (not alot without her standing square) is that she has a nice back, small hindquarters and is posty in the back legs
Hard to say much else, though

I will definitely get a squared up conformation shot the next time I got out to actually see her. I know that there are some conformation faults that you could tell from a horrible picture like that one, so I just thought it would be worth posting.

Pretty much a nice solid trail horse. I would consider this mare because I rode her grandmother a few years back and what I did see in her The other day I liked. I'll see how it goes next time I can make it out.. I don't like the wet weather :)

That was my immediate reaction when I saw her. She's a nice mare. She's loooong through the back in the second picture and I wish her hip was bigger but I don't see why she wouldn't make a great little all arounder.

Thanks! I was able to do some ground work with her and she did great. Also didn't mind having a little girl petting her all over, which is a big thing for me. I'm hoping that next Monday I'll be able to ride her and she how she does for me. If all goes well I may end up doing a lease-to-own on her. The owner is more than willing to let me lease her for a year and see if we "click" and if we don't he would take her back.

Sounds like you may be at the beginning of a great partnership!
A very pleasant mare! I don't see anything that would stand in my way if everything else checks out.
