Calling all morgan lovers

Hello :)

So, Silver Dapple [and red dun] is my favorite equine coat color. If I were ever to breed my mare I would love a silver baby . . .

My question is what do you guys think about the stallions Unconventional and Stone Pine Logan. Are they breeding quality? Which one more so?

(please no hate on this thread for me wanting to breed color - They will be ignored)

Stone Pine Logan

Unconventional

Well they are both gorgeous! Not knowing anything about either of them besides the pics you gave I would go with number one. He has a definite older Morgan look to him that I love. The second one looks very short backed. Hard to give a good critique on number one without a better side pic.

I'm all about the butt on a horse and I really prefer the second horse's butt. I would like to see other pictures though because you can't get a good look at their conformation with the angles of the pictures provided.

They are both very pretty, but you realize the chances of you getting a silver baby is a lot less likely than if you just bought a horse that color?

Just wanted to make sure you knew that. :)

Of course I know that ;) but the odds of this ever actually happening is just as unlikely

Do you have better conformation shots of the first guy?

There are not really any good pictures but here is the link to his site: Morgan Horses in Larkspur, CO For Sale - Stallions - Stone Pine*Logan

Sam goes for unconventional, however, there a lot of yearling photos but that doesn't really help lol

Well, I'd have to say Logan, just because I REALLY don't like those front pasterns on Unconvential. But, that's just based on these shots.

Top horse there is no good conformation shot. What I see I like a lot. Can't see a lot tho.

Second horse has one of the bodies and top lines I have seen here. I do not like the legs (in these photos). A bit long in the pasterns and tied in behind the knee and the hind leg appears camped out.
