Can it be? a Critique for Charlie?!

Indeed. I don't know why I haven't done this before. I guess because with Josie...I know her confo is uh...less than stellar and I just eh for Charlie. But.....
This is it....hes up on the chop block.

So lets talk about him. He's 16.2-16.3 around 1250lbs. His dam was a 14hh QH/Appy mix his Fabio was a pally paint....don't know anything else about that.

He's used primarily for ranch work. Roping sorting cutting etc. but I have shown on him (very successfully haha) done competitive trail with ACTHA.

Um lots of roping. Not a lot of speed events (well...no speed events he's to huge and bulktastic) and no jumping, other than a couple random logs when he was 4 on a few trails, since he wasn't old enough when I left.

I think that's it....
So have at it!

Here he is at 2

(I promise he really does NOT stand this far forward. I think he was trying to sneak a rub in)

And now at 7 sorry I don't have side shots here...I was a little distracted riding 99% of the time

I know his flaws and have my own ideas about a few. But Im very curious and open to see what yall think of him.

Also! Sorry that I have almost no recent good confo shots...like I said...I was distracted. But I did go through all my pics and tried to find at least a few good shots to judge. So thanks in advance and have fun

He is very pretty ^_^ Maybe a bit long in the back and he has a small neck. But I'm no good at this sort of thing so I'm just going to say he is cute :P Love his colour!

Thank you^ yes his neck and his back are bleh points for me. His back seems to be just a little less loooong as he's finally grown up and bulked up. And maybe its just hopeful wishes for me but I like to think his short looking neck is partly because of his giant jughead. But I know at least some is he really does have a short neck lol

Hahaha I don't think he's ever been called a barbie horse lol
But I'm sure he appreciated you compliments. Usually I call him pigpen or Jughead. Haha

Anybody else? Nobody? Him I talk him up so much I figure somebody would want to cut him down to size lol

First thing first...I suck at critiques but I had to say that while I don't normally care for palominos, he is a handsome little devil. Very nice.

Ps. Oh, I STILL have that Barbie horse! EB is right, looks just like him....hmmm maybe that's why I he stands out to me LOL. I'll might just have to take a pic of my Barbie horse and post for comparison.

Steep shoulder, long back, short ish neck. I like his head.

Over all I really like him. I ride a short necked horse, so I can sympathise. Wouldn't kick him out of my barn!
