I am wanting to sell my mare but I want to get opinions on her confo first. Also, if you see any weaknesses that can be altered by some riding or exercises please feel free to inform me. I want her to look good for when I do sell her.
First, what I REALLY like about her is that she looks quiet and dependable. Getting a conformation critique maybe isn't the best thing when you are the SELLER. You want to emphasize her good points. I like her front legs, the back, not so much, I can forgive the waist bc she is a mare. Since you are tacked up with a snaffle, that she looks like she is quietly munching on, she looks to be easy to ride.
If I have pegged your mare, IMHO you should be dressed like a Western Pleasure Trail Rider, with a shirt that looks like it came out of a catalog, wearing a Stetson (or knockoff) and cowboy boots, jeans NOT tucked in, maybe sporting a pair of spurs--a STEREOTYPE of your market. I would be selling her to a newbie trail rider. She is NOT an English type QH. I think you realize this if this is you onboard and maybe you're in the market for a Hunter.
Hope this helps.
That is exactly why I am selling her. She is very very western type and I am in it for english as of now! Thank you for the advice on what to sell her as and how I can promote it by wearing my western attire. I plan on taking her to my friend's house with a much nicer arena and wearing my western get up so the pictures look true to what I am selling her as.
Hi, I love your mare... I can't see any faults with her except maybe (this might be just me) be she looks like her front end don't match her back end :P
But I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling her, and good luck!!
Not an expert, but her hindquarters look different. They are higher.
