Forgot to answer your questions. There has been no personality change. She's calmed down since coming off sweet feed, but that same bratty/hyped up horse is in there. When we're on trails she's absolutely fired up & SUPER fiesty when we jump. She seemed a little lethargic in the beginning when she first started dropping weight, but I've seen no signs of it since bulking her feed.

And when this happened I was doing extra training for my job for two months & only made it out probably once a week. Still makes me feel horrible I didn't catch this earlier :-\

Don't beat yourself up too much. Its hard to understand that you pay someone to take care of something...a live animal...and they can't do it. They are paid for it! And from the look of that arena........well, you can imagine what I'm thinking.

She is not emaciated. Just skinny. She will plump back up. From the evidence brought forth in the details you've described, I'd say its not ulcers. 1 Horse skinny, maybe, but all 3? No way. Just a lack of food. Id keep the beet pulp, add soaked alfalfa pellets and keep her on good quality hay. She'll be back up to weight in no time.

And yes, her conformation is not perfect. But that by no means lessens her quality as a horse to you. Enjoy her!
