This is my new gelding (noname). He is a Tennessee walking horse. 14.2 hands tall. Between 7-9 years old. Please critique his cute little self! I am wanting to do some endurance, open shows, trails, and parades. I know he needs some weight and muscling. Other than that what do you see?
I hesitated to critique the other paint TWH for the same things I see here.
This is what I would refer to as a weedy and unbalanced horse who is built down hill. The hind end is under sized and is tied to the back through a weak coupling. The neck ties in a bit low on top and is short and coarse. The head is large and coarse. Hocks and knees are quite high off the ground and the horse is back at the knee. there is an over all lack of bone. The horse is cow hocked.
His shoulder lays back OK and his point of shoulder appears to be correctly placed. He needs weight.
yes I know he is thin. I have only had him for 2 days. I am putting weight on him. and will be strengthening his topline. I will get more pics here in a little bit too.
