This is a quarter horse mare I leased this past summer. She's 9 years old, took her to the local fair and she won quarter horse grand champion in halter...(i be very proud)
I would really like to know what you think about her conformation god or bad. Thanks:)

Very nicely turned out. Back is a wee bit long and she is built down hill. Lovely shoulder. I don't like the angles in her hind legs. Her hocks are a bit high too.

How does she ride?

Over all I like her. REALLY like her shoulder.. lays back nice and the point of shoulder angle is nice and open.. humerus has a nice nice angle (so many Quartr horses have a flattish humerus and closed point of shoulder). I think she would do very well in Quarterhorse Hunter classes.

Very pretty head!
Good shoulder on her
Front legs look alright apart from her pasterns, which she is set back on quite a bit
Don't like the look of her hooves either
Back is a little long and she appears to be bum high
Nice, sloping hindquarters
Back legs are a bit posty

She's utterly gorgeous and you've done a nice job of turnout.

She's gorgeous!! I really like her too but the thing that popped out to me first is the size of her feet. She's got wonderful big feet on her and appears to have good bone in her legs too, which is something that is sorely missed in most "halter" type horses.

She's got a nice head and a gorgeous neck and shoulder. Her back seems a bit longer than I like but I've always been a sucker for those really short backed horses LOL. She does seem a bit front heavy because she doesn't look to have quite as much muscling in her hindquarters as she would need to be balanced, but it's not bad. Her hind legs aren't perfect, a little bit posty, but nothing that would cause problems in any way.

Overall, she's a super nice horse. She's got her flaws, just like all horses, but I much prefer the look of her over 99.99% of the other "halter" horses in the world because she looks like the type that you can also throw your saddle on and put in a good day's hard work.
