    Critique Kermit Please

I have gotten a new horse who is a 2 year old arab/appaloosa gelding. I was hoping for some of your thoughts. I plan to use him as a trail horse unless he proves to be good at something else.

I don't have many good photos and I hope to get some better ones soon. These are the only photos my temperamental computer would let me out up for the moment. Thanks for any help everyone!

Please get better photos. From behind he is straight. The hind leg is constructed like a spiral and the hind feet must toe out a little for the stifle to clear the belly.

I don't think these photos are any better, I just have such a hard time getting photos on my own with his limited handling. I am still hoping to get better photos at some point but thought I may as well see if you guys can see anything.

He isn't on super level ground so he is standing in a little ditch with his front feet. I also found out he is actually 3 and not 2 years old. Thanks for any help.

Not a bad looking fellow overall. Right now he is very downhill, which he might level out from some he most likely will never be level. He also likes to stand like he is sickle hocked, however I am not sure if that is his structure, or just the way he is standing in these photos. He has a nice length of neck, rather large head, shoulder is a bit upright (though better photos may reveal otherwise), back is fairly short with average coupling. Hip is on the shorter side. Pasterns show adequate slope and good length. Good substance of bone. Feet need attention.

Looks like a versatile using type as he matures. Shows much more stock horse type than Arab (would never have guessed he was half Arab).

Better photos may reveal some of what I have said is not quite accurate.

He looks tied in at the knee to me, I'm not a conformation expert though!

He definitely needs a different farrier, to be honest.

Thanks guys he siblings look much more arab than him he seems to have taken more after the appy.

I am getting really frustrated about not being able to get good photos.

Thanks about the feet we are going to have another go at them. My friend is a trained barefoot trimmer. He just has never had his feet done before and they looked horrible so we got the worst of it off and he chip that back hoof on something. We have since been working with him so he would be better for us to have another go.
