This is a discussion on Critique on my 4 yr old, QH? within the Horse Conformation Critique forums, part of the Horse Breeds, Breeding, and Genetics category
He's a 4 yr old, gray, QH, gelding. He is green broke and was originally bought as a ranch horse to get cattle in, ect. But my pole horse is getting old, and the same with my goat horse. They probably have 1, maybe 2 yrs left in them. And I figured, since we already have him, he might be a good prospect for goat and poles. I think he's in the range of high 14, low 15 hh. I know he's a little rough, his mane needs trimmed, he's a little on the chubby side and his feet will be getting trimmed sometime this week. He has heart through! He's also super gentle, and has all of his ground work. What do you think of him? Do you think his legs are ok? His pedigree: All Breed Pedigree Query (If you go back to his parents, they both have a little Three Bars in them)
He's also registered with the AQHA. I'll try to get a video up on how he moves, if I can find my lunge line. Lol
Pictures: (I'll try to get better ones later, but he wouldn't stop following me!)
Hard to say without him standing square. But little things I can pick out are he's got nice front legs, good depth of girth through the chest, and presumable a decent shoulder on him has well.
Back is a tad long and slightly roached
Apart from that, I can't really say much on the hind end
