I've had her since April, haven't been doing much with her this winter but thinking about starting endurance riding (after proper conditioning of course) What do you think of her? Thanks!
she is gorgeous. i would really like to see her after your farrier visit because my biggest concern is her long toe and lack of heel. her pastern angles are that much steeper due to the trim on the feet. does your farrier have a plan?
This is a really nice horse. Nice legs, decent bone, good angle to her hocks, nice back, a wee bit longish, nice croup. Her shoulder is steep and her neck is sort of weedy but I suspect it will look better will proper conditioning. Well well cared for and a decent weight. I would like to own this horse for sure.
I'll try to get some pictures of her tomorrow, he put shoes on her front feet to try to spread her toes out, he said she has "mule hooves" where her hooves grow narrow and her toes are long.. So he's gonna slowly spread her out. The lady I board with thinks he left too much toe, but he wants to take it slow.. He's new to us so we'll see how it goes.
I like her. A tiny bit long in the coupling. A little tied in at the knee. Toes out in front with rotation starting up high. A little bow legged behind perhaps. Nice bone. Adequate shoulder. Wish she had more muscle behind (for the breed).
