Talking Critique for the new boy?!

As you can see, I have a new pony! Well not really a pony but you get the idea. This is Donner, an 8yr old 15.2hh QH. He is just green broke, but I saw this boy at the dealers and I just couldn't leave without him. He was soooo sweet and has such a gorgeous face! Anyway let me know what you can do with these pictures... Once I can get someone to hold him outside I can get some better ones.

Of course him being a QH we need a bum shot!
And here's Mr. Pretty boy's face shot-

I can only see one thing I don't like, and that's that his left front appears to toe-in a moderate amount. Other than that, he looks good, but the pics are kind of hard to judge from because they're so dark. It almost looks like his hind legs might be a bit straight through the hock, but very difficult to tell with his tail shadowing them.

    Green Broke
He appears a bit straight thru the hock and camped under. His pasterns in front seem a bit long. He has a weakish coupling with the point of croup too far back and croup itself is steep. For the breed I wish he had more butt and a longer hip. He has a lot of wither (that I like) and a nice shoulder and his neck is set nicely. He is a bit downhill.

Is he full QH or is he an appendix QH? Seems to have some Thoroughbred traits.

    I like him.

Yeah I'm pretty excited! As far as I know he is a full QH but I could be wrong. He is the SWEETEST boy I have ever come across. Also very different from my Dressage horses, which is why I asked for the crit. I plan on just doing some fun Western Pleasure, maybe trying barrel racing. Not going to rush anything, just going to have a good time with him!

I think he'll be a nice horse for you if you just want to do some general riding. I love where his hock is set, but it IS straight. I'm also not a fan of the length of his pasterns, I prefer them a tad shorter with more bone. But there's not much to find terribly wrong with him. For what you want to do with him....WP and barrels....pick one or the other....REALLY hard to do both as they are on opposite ends of the spectrum.
