Critique Nova AQHA 4

I tried to get some decent pictures of her squared up today hopefully hey are useful!! She's coming 4yrs old mare, cutting bred. 14 hhs tall so far. She still has a tiny bit of swelling on her right lower abdomen but not sure it shows in pics. Pedigree Lenas Little Nova

I was working alone on this lol squaring her up and tell her whoa and holding my arm out like a goof. She held still for several usually before she would move a foot or try to come to me. What do you think?

Cute mare! She's butt high, and at 4 years old IMO that won't change, and she seems to be a bit posty/straight in the hind end. Her front legs look pretty clean to me, though I don't like her pastern angles much...but I really think that has more to do with her long ties and underrun heels than actual conformation. I like their lengths. I can't decide if her sholder is really straight or if its the camera angles, because in some she looks very straight and in others, not as much. She's standing under herself a little in some photos but I don't think she's actually camped under.

Love her coloring and leg barring.

She really needs a trim and I want to start with a new farrier because I hear that alot about her hooves and I have mentioned it too him and he doesn't really say anything...

I totally understand...I went through four or five farriers before I found one that actually listened when I asked about problems and FIXED them.

Really nice mare :)

Her back is slightly long, and her hinds are a little posty, hocks are a bit tall for a cutting horse. But she has a nice hindquarter, and from what I can tell, a good shoulder. She's balanced except for that slightly long back.

Not sure about QH's, but other breeds I've had matured late. So I don't know if you could expect her front to catch up to the rear or not. It's more common for QH's to be downhill.
