    Critique OTTB

16.2/3 7 year old OTTB, retired sound.
He would be retrained in hunters or jumpers.
Would just like some critiques to see if he'd be worth buying...

I won't be helpful with critique, but I really like him.

He looks really downhill, especially in the last picture. His front pasterns look a little long as well and his back pasterns seem a little too upright, but his stance makes it hard to see. Also his neck ties in kind of funny, I can't put a finger on it… could also be because his chest doesn't look very pronounced (nothing some good work can't fix though). His back is also longer in comparison to his neck, you want a good balance length wise, so I would prefer a shorter back on this guy. His back legs look funky too, the hock angle just doesn't look adequate.

Overall, I could see him doing lower level jumping but he doesn't seem properly balanced to exceed well. (potential doesn't equal form. I would be afraid that he wouldn't be able to jump well enough to stay sound over a period of time.. at certain heights). He is really cute though, I love his expression

How'd he go before you bought him? (Ie, what was the reason for retirement? What were his racing results?) what's his bloodlines like too? :)
