    Fjord Critique

    Hokay so. Kaja has gotten fat enough for me to decide to post pictures of her here again. She has also been shed out for a while and no longer looks like a walking shag carpet.

    Anyway, Kaja is 3 years old and 12.3hh and ~600lbs. She's a midget, but have at it. She wasn't the most cooperative with the pictures, so this is the best I could get. For all intents and purposes, she has the personality of a retriever (her recall is even about the same level as my actual retriever)..just 600lbs with hooves.

    She is really cute! I haven't been so keen on Fjord horses, but this one is actually pretty.

    Thanks. Her personality makes her even more adorable; she has to say hi to anyone and everyone (hence why her mane is smashed in one spot. She puts her head through the fence to see what everyone's up to).

    Saddle training. I've ridden her a handful of times but it was in a dressage saddle because my barrel saddle has a 7" gullet. I got ahold of the western saddle I had in mind for her and she's had it on, but I got swamped with stuff and haven't been able to do much with her except get after her for being a spoiled little pony when she stars to act like it.

    I can't help you with conformation critique. But I grew up surrounded by Fjords, training on Fjords, riding Fjords...

    And she looks just the way a Fjord should look. I really like her. Stout and friendly - that's how we like 'em.
