May purchase - 8 y/o OTTB - critiques, please!

Hi there! I'm just looking for some thoughts on a horse I was thinking about purchasing!

I plan to do mostly trail riding at this time, with potential for getting more into dressage and eventing in the next couple years. Nothing high level.

Thanks!

Pretty horse!...I'm not an expert, the horse looks like it's standing under it's self, and I'm wondering if it maybe slightly tied in at the knee? Do you have any other photos?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again

This horse can do what you are looking for. Maybe more.

Stance notwithstanding, this is a reasonably nice horse. I see no reason why she couldn't do what you want her for.

Would I ride her? Sure! Would I buy her? Probably.

Basically a very nice all-around horse. I agree (surprise surprise ) with Elana - looks like he could do anything you're asking. Go git him!

I am no good at doing conformation critiques, but I have seen my2geldings give some really good critiques. I would maybe wait and see if she sees this and posts one?

Nice horse, well built but a bit "chubby". Shoud shape up into a good all arounder!

How long off the track? I just adopted a 6 yr old OTTB in July and while I love her to pieces, retraining her has been the most challenging thing I've done so far, and I have my trainer riding her 3x a week as well. I wouldn't trade her for anything, even though she sent me flying across the ring Sunday, but just make sure you really understand what you are getting into with an OTTB. My girl has been off track for over a year and is about as green as they come.
