Nine Year Old OTT Quarter Horse Critique

This is my nine year old off the track quarter horse. She only ran three races, winning one and came off the track sound. I have had her for a little over a year now and prior to me she was bred once(when they found the foal he had already passed on.) and had lots of retraining since being off the track.

I would really love some honest opinions of her. To me she is over at the knee and possibly tied in behind the knee and also roached back. What else do you see?

Thank you!

Overall i really like her! But from what i see she's steep throughout the fetlocks, very postylegged, and she's slightly downhill.

That being said i LOVE her neck tie in to her check and her overall smoothness.

I woudlnt hesitate to buy her if she were for sale and i was looking.

I don't see any roach back, though she is a little butt high. It does look like she ties in a bit below the knee, but it looks like she's got a decent size knee, looks like she's got a decent size hock too, though I'd need better closer pictures. Her pasterns are pretty upright, but she looks like she's got good size feet too. Overall, I really like her, I think she'll make a wonderful horse, and could do just about anything you want to do with her. She's got a sweet eye, and looks like she's a really calm nice horse. Good luck with her.

See now, I knew something was off but I couldn't quite figure it out, but now that you said post leggy that is exactly what I was thinking; just couldn't place it.

As for be for sale, I don't think that will happen anytime soon, but thank you!

Thank you, she is pretty calm but can get hot over random things. I can however let my trainers six year old daughter ride her around but I make sure to keep a close eye on her because she can get spooky.

Anyways, I totally could have been seeing things with the roach back and I was pretty sure she is tied in below the knee. I can get pictures tomorrow of her legs, but like you said I think she has decent size knees and hocks.

Oh and to me her feet still need a little more work but considering when I got her they were flared and very spread out I think it is an improvement.

Thank you guys!

I don't see the roach back either, just a bit steep through her croup.
