Its hard to tell very much about his conformation but he looks decent to me, and definitely not like the standardbreds that I'm used to! He has a lovely face and a very nice, albeit not in rhythm yet, trot. Slightly straight shoulder but not bad, possibly tied in at the knee and standing under himself in one picture, decent topline and hip, and a well connected neck with a good back.
I think with some more lessons and time you guys will be looking phenominal! Is there a chance that you could get lunge line lessons from your trainer, or maybe work stirrupless? I know this isnt rider critique but I'd love to see you learning not to balance on his neck and the reins so much (I used to do it a lot as well) and really start using your core to straighten and push yourself up. It will really help both of you and lunging is the perfect way to do this :)
