    Opinions on this mare?

I posted something like this about the same mare quite a few months ago when I first got her. I got a decent amount of feedback but I now have better pictures of her and I want to see what people think about her before/after. *Please note she is still crazy pregnant and about to pop any day now.* I was looking at older pictures of her and she seems to have become more shapely rather than flat. (Not referring to the baby bump, but her shoulder/rump muscles.) Is this just from being pregnant or have I actually gotten her into a bit better shape?

Aside from that I would love to know what people think of her overall conformation. I want to know even the little flaws, just don't make it an insult match. A big one is what could she be suited to do conformation-wise? We are thinking of getting her on the trails and also looking at her potential as a driving horse. What would it take to get her back into shape? Anyone have anything that they would recommend for a horse like her? I would like to absorb any ounce of knowledge people can give me about her conformation.

    Some extra information;
    Tenakee is 18 years old,
She is broke to ride, but before we got her hadn't been ridden in years,
    She is a Bashkir Curly,
    Her pedigree [click here],
She's been a broodmare most of her life.

Any more questions feel free to ask them, and thank-you in advance.

Overall her conformation looks fine, I can't see any reason why she can't be used for trail riding or driving.

Withers are a bit muttony and her neck is thick anhd cresty (check her for thyroid and/or Cushings after she folas... I am inclinced to think possible cushings with that crest). Conformation is typical Curly.. sturdy and light draft looking. Nice horse.

    Foal
    She's be great for trail/driving.

With my experience in brood mares they loose the belly rather quickly once they give birth. (given they don't get pregnant again shortly there after)

I got my tb unworked and out of shape and long time intervals trotting as well as "hill therapy" will improve strength get her into shape.

Typical Curly? There is no..."typical Curly" build. The breed has a HUGE variety of shapes and sizes. There are the Warmblood types, this mare is more Draft type, my boy is Stock type, they even have pony and mini Curlies. You get my point...

This mare does have flaws, but overall, I think she is a lovely girl that is going to be sound, sane and capable throughout her life.

    Cons:
    - Long Back
    - Weak Hindquarters
    - Very high tailset
    - Thick neck
    - Steep/Upright shoulder
    - Downhill

    Pros:
    - Nice set of legs, great bone to them, nice and straight too.
    - Her topline looks like it has definitely improved in your care. It looks very good, especially for 18 years old...and heavy in foal...As well as considering how many babies she's had previously.
    - Everything else I haven't mentioned.

I really like her. She is a nice girl and your taking great care of her. I can't wait to see what the baby looks like!
