Does this horse have the making of a reining horse? (And anything else you notice about him would be great!)

Nice horse. A bit butt high and a bit straight thru the hocks. Good bone and he is straight from in front (correct). Shoulder is the right angle and a bit closed at point of shoulder. He has real nice hind quarters (lots of muscle0.

Oh he is a pretty boy! Nice shoulder, his neck ties in well. His back might be a tad short, but nothing serious. He is fairly butt high with a steep croup but he's built like a powerhouse. Droolworthy :)

Is like to see a bit more bone upfront especially for the.size of him. I agree with elana that he is pretty straight through the hocks. Not sure what that will do for his stops in reining. Overall nice horse though!

I figured it would be easier for him to lift himself up because of his short back and powerful hindquarters; but then again his shoulders are kinda bulky too. Yeah, his hocks are straighter than I'd like but he stops (not sliding stops but stops) well. Thank you all!

I like his muscling, his color and his strong back but I'm not sure how his longevity will be if he's reining on such tiny canon bones. That's really his only fault to me :) how is he bred?
