Rescue Horse I'm Thinking about getting

It's my first horse. This is Grace. She is a 13 year old thoroughbred. She is a rescue horse. She has had 1 foal Idk exactly when. I went to see her yesterday. I had the owner walk her around then I walked her around twice the round pin with haulter and lead line and she looked wonderful. I didn't see any leg probs and the owners say she sound. I also got in the stall with her by myself and she was soo sweet. I was soo excited when I was there looking at all the horses that when I got home I can't remember if they said she was a race horse... soo I'm not sure if she rides. But she's not afraid of me and she was very attentive and curious so I know that's fine. I would just like an opinion. I was looking for a rider dressage, jumping horse but I don't mind working with her. Thank you for your help!

How much experience do you have? If she isn't trained and off the track I would be a bit leary about it.
I would ask to see her ridden as just walking around wont show you much.
Also do a PPE before buying her and try her out yourself if possible.

The horse rescue does a free lease to make sure you are a good match and to make sure its a suitable home. I do plan on going back to hop on lol I just want an opinion on her to see if she's looks good soo far I guess lol

Well she looks good however those shots say nothing for the conformation part other then she has a cute head.

If she is a fit to you training wise and you have a trainer set up to help then I don't see a problem trying the free lease.

I've been riding for 14+ years I would rate myseld as a higher intermediate. Right now I'm riding a super mean horse that will try to get away with murder if you let her. I've been working on her attitude by listening and talking/grooming her everyday so she's not as aggressive as when I started with her. I'm not advanced yet I don't think but I will get there lol

They are just all odd angles you need squared up pictures of front left right and back. There are some awesome threads on how to get the right pictures on the conformation section.

And good luck :)

First of all I think she's gorgeous:) I agree with BarrelracingArabian, these pics arent too good but from what I can tell, she looks like she has a nice short back, straight front legs, she has a nice wide chest and I like the angle in her shoulder, her neck comes out higher on her withers, and in the first picture she looks like she's standing pretty square and her topline is pretty level, and her pretty face isnt hurting her:) At least I can tell a few things from this but they are good things! I also think she is at a good weight. Work on those pictures!
