My first impression of this 9 year old mare was to pass but I don't want to write her off too quick. Jumper or Dressage? Or is she more of a kids horse? What do you think her trot will be like? See any soundness issues that might come up if I go to 2nd level in dressage with her. Since she's 9 and pretty green so we probably won't get to 2nd level until she's around 16yrs. Old
She's got better quarters than the others you've posted
The set of her shoulder/elbows/forearm looks a bit odd - as if her saddle would have to be sitting really high up her withers to get the girth in the right place
Why do you ask if she is more of a 'kids horse? Is she really small?
Yeah, her forelegs come out of the body rather far forward, but it may be becuase she has been rocked back a bit.
I think she has good conformation overall and looks strong, for a horse that is so green. Green can mean a lot of time on your part, but it can also mean she won't have someone else's bad habits on her, so is more of a "blank slate".
The weird shadow on her stifle is strange. But the stifles are nice and low set. Her hind cannons are quite long and she looks slightly over at the knee, but overall a good find. And it shouldn't take 6 years to get to second level! Maybe three, one season at training, one at first and then second level. Good luck! Posted via Mobile Device
