Trail horse critique

Can I get a critique on this gelding please? He does not seem comfortable in the curb and tight rein the rider has on him, but other than that what do you see?

Poor Buddy! Looks like he has arthritis. He is waaayyy too stiff, he's carrying his neck and shoulders stiff and high, and look at his hind end? He's moving more like a giraffe. For a well broke horse he isn't soft and it looks like she's yanking his head around and pulling REALLY hard for a stop? WTH. I can't even comment on his confo cause he has some health issues. Sturdy thick guy.

Green Broke
I agree with a snaffle he would be much happier. He doesn't bend much but thatis easy enough to correct. I think he looks like a good solid mount for a trail horse. A very good safe childs horse.

I thought he looked stiff in the stifle, but wasn't sure if I was just seeing things. He is being held back and made to do a pleasure jog, so couldn't really tell without him moving naturally. His feet looked aweful to me.

Uhm, he doesn't look very happy. He looks uncomfortable and in pain. For a horse his age and well broke I would expect to see smoother transitions, even in a trail mount. Poor guy looks hurtin'.

He's hollow throughout his back. Whenever the rider steers him he leads with his shoulder. I do agree, poor guy looks very uncomfortable.
