Will this mare't topline come back?

She is 14. With the proper conditioning, will her swayback improve?

Horses are proof that God love's us and wants us to be happy!

I'd say yes, or at least a good portion of it. She looks like she's been out of work for a fairly long time.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

Use the end of your brush, the wooden part and run it along her seam line underneath. When you get near the belly button she should lift her back. If she does, with a flat hand, tap the middle of her back a couple of times then lift her again.

With the right work and feed it will improve. My old mare had a sway back at 20 and worked for the next 9 years it did improve. But saddling needs to be sympathetic and checked regularly.
