Another board that I used to be a part of used to do this contest every month and it was a lot of fun. Though would give it a try here and see how it goes.

Please read the rules carefully. If you do not follow all of the rules, your entries will not be judged, and you will be disqualified from this month's contest!

---------------------------------
O F F I C I A L R U L E S

1.) Deadline is midnight (Eastern Time) on November 30th; any entries after that will not be judged.

2.) Photos that were entered in any previous month's contest are not eligible to be submitted again. Do not underestimate the power of ones eyes and memory.

3.) You MUST have been the photographer, no matter the category. You have to be the person, who was behind the camera, found the framing and moment and pressed down the button to take the picture. It just makes more sense to have been the photographer and not the subject in a photo contest you are entering.

4.) Dogs, cats and other critters are NOT allowed (unless otherwise noted in category list). (Ponies, Donkeys, Mules, Zebras, Zonies and Zorses of course ARE allowed.)

5.) Person judging cannot have pictures entered.

6.) NO horses shall be mistreated or injured in the taking of pictures.

7.) Categories are up to the particular judge.

8.) ONLY ONE PHOTO PER CATEGORY.

9.) Entrant MUST specify which category the photo is being entered in. And it MUST be one of the categories for this month. Judging will not start until the contest is closed, so if you change your mind about which category your photo should go in; edit your post before the end of the contest.

10.) If your photos are NOT working on the day of judging, they will not be judged. So make sure they are all in good working order. Also, do not post links to the pictures. Use the to post them here.

12.) DO NOT SAVE A SPOT. Only post if you have the photographs ready to put up. Also, try to limit the discussion on this post, we want more pictures than we do discussion. If you think a photo is beautiful and you want the photographer to know, send a PM. And please keep your pictures in one single post, not spread out over several pages.

13.) PLEASE! Do not make your own pictures in either Paint Shop Pro or Adobe. If you cut the horse out and put it in a different background.

***** Please note that if anyone breaks any of these rules you will be disqualified from the contest this month.*****

~~~~~~ If you are the winner for next month's judge, but cannot judge the contest and/or do not post new contest by the 10th of the month then the person with the second best photo of the month will be the month's judge and will be contacted via PM.~~~~~~
****** Each judge is responsible to have the contest judged in a timely manner. Results should be posted by the 5th of the following month.******
**** Also, Please re-size you pictures so they fit on the page without the need to scroll back and forth.****
**** Each category will have a placing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Then each 1st placed photo will automatically be entered into the best photo of the month. There will be 3 placings for best photo of the month. The photographer of the winning best of month photo will be the next month's judge. ****
