Moderators DO retire!

Hello Fellow Horse forum members,

As you know, horse forum is moderated by a team of members who volunteer to try to steer this constantly changing forum and keep it a friendly and helpful place. It can take a lot of time, and while rewarding, can also be quite demanding time wise. Life brings changes, and sometimes it's no longer possible for a moderator to devote that kind of time to an "online volunteer" job.

In recent months valued Moderators Kayty, Maura, Mandy, Bill and others have retired from the team and we want to recognize the hard work and heart that retiring mods have put into the "job". This thread is to appreciate them, and sorry that it was not here for the mods that retired earlier. (thanks, Guys!)

So, now we say Goodbye to Cowchick77, who has some great plans for her future and needs to put all her energy there. Thanks, Cowchick77 for your help these past months! We'll still see you around here, but just as a "regular" member. Good Luck!

It's refreshing to see announcements of Mod changes, but very very sad to see that we are losing Mods with such a breadth of knowledge.

Good luck with everything to the guys stepping down, and welcome to the new names that I have noticed becoming mods over the last little while.

Thanks guys!
Being a mod was definitely enlightening! If I come away with anything in from the last couple of months it will be that I have a new appreciation for the effort that is put in to being a mod. It requires a lot of extra time that frankly most people don't have. We all have busy lives and the mods give their extra time here.
Hubby and I have decided to sell everything and get out of the trucking business and head back to cowboying. We will be very busy the next couple of months moving and fall works so my time will be limited and I won't be sure I will have internet service...LOL..gotta love living in the bushes!
You know you live in Nevada when- your drivers license doesn't have an address, it gives directions to the ranch ;)

There have been so many changes over this year, but it is lovely to have something so we can all say a fond farewell to Mods going out and welcome Mods coming in!

Poor excuse CowChick ;) but if you really want to leave us... Hope you enjoy the next few months in the saddle!

Thanks to all the mods, past, present and future, for keeping horseforum a happy place!

Goodluck Cowchick. I'm envious. ooooohhh to not have any neighbours! To be isolated and live according to nature, the bush, the animals, and daylight hours! Demanding for sure, but oh so rewarding and a peaceful sort of stress.
