An Amazing Braid Job! Can Anyone Here Do This?

I stumbled across this picture online and I find the braid to be absolutely stunning! Does anyone know how to do this? I'm trying to find more similar pictures to try and figure it out.

Ha! My simple braids barely stay in. That is incredible, though!

I also think that the horse is amazing. I too would like to know how to do the braids.

It looks like a bunch of fishtail braids at the top connected and underneath much wider/larger fishtails. You can google fishtail braids for more info on how to do them.. They're pretty easy!

I agree, it looks like layers of fishtails that are offset so the lower level shows through and gets woven into the top. Nice.

My horse and I tried to copy original post. Okay, so we don't look as good as the original but give us a break it was the first time for both of us. We want some pointers how to do it.

Oops, picture didn't show up.

We also need help with downloading pics.

It looks like the mane is divided into horizontal layers and the braids are layered on top of each other. I think I could figure it out if I had that much mane to work with. It's beautiful!
