Question Anyone in England know where to buy mane rolls..?

As it says in the title...
I love messing around with my mare making her look nice and recently watched a video that someone posted of a horses mane being rolled. I know it's usually meant for heavy draught horses but it looks so nice and wont take as much time as plaiting or break as much hair. However I can't find anyone in England that sells the rolls (two toned fabric) anyone got any suggestions, also anyone found any good videos of it being done. The one that was posted is of a black horse with a red roll but the woman does it so fast it's hard to keep up with. Any pics of your horses with rolled/plaited/braided hair would be cool.

You could probably use 2 ribbons and have them stitched in between. I think draft horse ribbons are 2" wide, & 12" long (?) not sure about this, but you could look it up online

Just go to your local arts and crafts store and buy ribbon or cheap material. I get mine from Walmart. I always get the 2 yards of the fabric that's on sale for $1 a yard, either 1 yard of 2 colors or just 2 yards of 1 color. Cut it into 1-2" wide strips, and you now have mane rolls.

Or you can buy this kind of ribbon:

I just got 4 yards (2 red and 2 green) for $2 from walmart since it was like $.30 a yard.

I haven't used the ribbon yet, so I don't know how it will work, but I figure as cheap as it is, even if it doesn't work, it's no big deal.

But try to find stretchy material, that works the best.

Edit: Forgot to mention: If you want 2 different colors, just tie the ribbons together, or if you're good at sewing, sew them together to make 1 long ribbon.

Thanks for your replies. I got some stretchy material and I've been practicing rolling. It took me ages to figure out how it is done but I think I've got it now. Does anyone have any pictures of their horses manes in a roll, they would be really nice to see.
