Arabs with short/long and trimmed manes?

What do you think of that? I'm really sick of Lacey's mane and I just want to get rid of it for the moment.
She has a lovely neck when it's not covered with her mane and I kinda want to show it off, especially since her mane is super nasty for no reason right now (she has mane hair like a human's and it gets tangled SOOOO easily).

What if I just trimmed it so it was all the same length? Would that look ridiculous to have it all be like a foot long (I have no idea how long half way down her neck would be) and all even?

I definitely wouldn't be pulling it because I don't know how and because her mane is super thin, I'd just be trimming it with scissors (I would definitely read up on that scissor trimming technique so it doesn't look silly).

What do you think?

Here's her mane as of Tuesday:

The part by her withers is really short and the part up by her poll is really long. >.<

Why don't you plait it in one long line so it still shows off her neck and keeps it tidy so it doesn't get knotty.

I don't think I have ever seen a mane trimmed with scissors that didn't look silly. Either read up on how to pull a mane, use a razor, or braid it. I think she would look cute with a shorter mane.

I'm lazy. =P And it gets worse when I brush it too much so to braid it every time I wanted her to look ok would be pretty bad for her mane, imo. I have done that quite a few times however and she looked hot.
Also, if we're both thinking of a running braid, you're not supposed to keep those in for more than a few hours.

Really? Good to know. I will definitely look into using a razor then...
I think she'd look cute with a shorter mane too.

I'd definatley ask someone you know to show you how to pull it. It's really easy, and it will look heaps better than done with scissors. I say if your not showing her in arab classes, then why not have it short? It would look cute. I show my arab hunters and his mane is pulled, it looks much better and shows off his neck more.

I've done everything to my arabs mane :] Long, pulled, scissors, hacked at with shears, and roached. I actually prefer him roached, which is how he is at the moment. He also looks super cute with a mohawk :]

I feel like she would look really cute with a roached mane. Just a thought =P

I actually would really like to roach her mane one day but I think my BO (she half owns Lacey so her opinion matters) would have a heart attack. =P But once I fully own her! Heheheheheh
Well, I guess I'll just trim it up a bit and see how it looks then. =)
