Bath bite and cleaning boy stuff

We gave Citrus a bath today because he keeps finding the mud puddle and making himself filthy- beyond a bit of mud- more like covered in it.

He was a bit of a pill. He actually would bite the water. At one point, he was irritated and put his teeth on me- not a chomp just a set it on my skin. I yelled out and he stopped, but what is that all about? Maybe he needs more bath manners. I also cleaned his boy stuff- that was not fun but clearly necessary.

On a good note, I got up behind my cousin on him. I got off. Then I put my daughter up there and walked him with the two of them on him for about ten steps. He did not get emotional so I took them off and told him he was a good boy :) Hooray for riding double, even if it was short.

Just make sure he's tied short enough, so he can't reach you, and just carry on...I find with bathing 'manners' you just have to do it so they get used to it, especially if that's the only time he exhibits this fractious behavior. If you don't have one, get a spray attachment, so you don't have to stand extremely close to him, and let him 'figure' it out that you aren't going to stop the water until he stands there and behaves.

I like that idea. Next time, water will happen until he settles down.... I will also make sure bath time does not happen when I have two children to look after.
