Bathing

Just wondering when some of you start bathing your horses. I usally start around may but it has been so warm and nice out i'm just really wanting to.

Hi Tammy, I usually wait till the warmer weather comes too. If you think its warm enough I can't see it hurting, but if it gets chilly later I'd suggest putting a thin rug on just so he/she doesn;t get a chill.
Does he/she live out all the time or is he stabled at night?

I do not care when it is as long as it is about 70 degrees it's ok

Probabley around 70-80 its good.

It's been in the 70's and i've been letting them stay out at nights now

I always wash my horses the day before shows x x x

I'd wait till it was atleast 70 degrees to give them a full rinse.

I bathe my horse like hmm whenever its very nice outside and he looks like he needs a bath. Mostly in about 70 degree weather.

I bath my horses the day before the show but making sure they stay warm with a oldish rug on to stay warm but also clean

I bathe my horse before a show or comp or if going to pony club and he's really dirty! I don't think it gets as cold here in winter :) so I bathe him all year round but I always have some warm rugs/towels ready in winter
