    Post Bathing help.

I'm about to bathe my QH for the first time in 6 months!!!!! It's been so cold and it's warm today (: so I use suave shampoo and conditioner on her and then when I'm done bathing I braid her mane and tail then put it in a tail bag.. I east her to look really sleek and shiny with a nice tail. Yes I KNOw shine comes from the inside and fRom the diet so you don't have to make that clear to me. Thank you(:

IMO you should use an animal shampoo. The cheapest, since Suave isn't expensive, is Mane 'n Tail shampoo. Non-horse friends of mine have tried it, found it too greasy and given me almost full bottles of it.
Human shampoo tends to dry out their coats too much.
Post some pics of your clean pony. =D

I also use the cheap dollar store shampoo/conditioner on my horse. When I do give her baths (She doesn't get many - she's a difficult bather ) she comes out shiny and clean. But I guess it depends on your horse's skin... I guess just like different types of human skin, it can react to different things.
