Question Braiding question.....

So I have a show on Sun and I was just wondering, when you guys braid do you put them up the night before or do you just braid then leave them down till the day of? I am using elastics to braid not yarn and she ripped her sleazy so I can't do that either...

It depends if i ride later in the day, or early., If i ride early i braid the night before, and fix the ones that need fixing in the morning. otherwise i braid the day of :]

If there are no horses in heaven... im not going.

Well I'm riding at 11 but I'll have a busy morning because I'll be helping load and helping the juniors and doing other groom jobs, but they will be fine to roll up the night before then?? Do you do the forelock the day before as well? If you ride in the morning??

Yep, if I ride in the morning I roll them up the night before, including the forelock. Most of the time though, my horse is braided with yarn.

With rubber bands you could probably braid them down the night before then roll them up in the morning if you think you'll have time.

I always braid the morning of, even if I ride early. It's a hassle for me to braid at night because even with a sleazy my horse manages to rub out most of his braids. I've just learned to braid quickly and efficiently! I suggest, since you're using rubber bands, just braid them the night before and roll them up in the morning.
