Question Clipping and color

If I clip my mare, will her hair grow back its original dark palomino? She was wonderfully copper until last September when all of a sudden she faded horribly. If I clip her will her hair grow back dark again? This summer I have a UVA ray protected fly sheet for her so hopefully that will help. But if I do clip her this spring will her hair grow back dark or light? If that doesn't help, what can I do to get her color back? I am already supplementing paparika. She is shedding, but the only colors I can still see are light and washed out. Her color now is awful looking compared to what it used to be!

Also, would a light turnout sheet help until the flies come out? If so, could someone point me to an uninsulated or lightly insulated turnout sheet? One that can withstand shenanigans? Thank you!

Everytime I clip my horses, their hair always comes back the original color.

When you initially clip a horse its coat will be a different colour. A bay horse will go a slate colour if his winter coat is completely through, if it isn't then he will still be a bay colour.
Their coats will often change colour as the winter coats come through, without clipping.

Her summer coat will be darker than the winter and clipping will not change that.

I have an OTTB that I am showing in hunter jumper this month. I live in Ohio and I want to full body clip him. Would this effect the shine of his coat? Also would I HAVE to pull his mane? I would hate to be because it's so beautiful! Also any grooming tips you have please share!
