    I don't know if he is going to be any cooler in the summer unless he tends to have heavy summer coat. If you are going to clip, you need heavy duty clippers, and few sets of blades, at least $200 for that, if you are lucky. Using anything less is going to make him look like he has been chewed on by a drunk rat.

    I was planning on spending between $200-$300 on a set of clippers, I just can't seem to find a good set. All the ones I find are about $120 which I don't trust

    Get something with at least 120 volts and with detachable blades, you will be fine. I like 15 size blade for a body clip. Happy clipping, you will be so itchy afterwards, those little clipped hairs stick through your clothes like quills. I just finished clipping my horse's head & legs (I hate shedding those areas out, so I cheat), I had 2 layers of clothes, those itchy hairs poked their way through. I could hardly wait to get inside, strip down & get in the shower!
