If you want to look into feeding your horses coconut copra (the meat of the coconut after most of the oil has be extracted). It's an Australian company, but have North American distribution.

Specialists in feeding low NSC horse feed in copra and coconut oil to horses

I thought Macadamia oil couldn't hurt, but what do you guys have to say?
Macadamia nut oil is used a lot on people hair too so I'd assume it'd be ok for horses. I've never seen it at the store though, only at salon's and what not, so I'd assume it's more pricy

I bought some today at a super market for like $5.99 for 500 ml. It wasn't specificly for hair it was a cooking oil and I only bought it because I couldn't find coocnut oil.

I put some in her tail today and also mixed some with vitamin cream for her tail where she's rubbing.

That ought to be fine! You'd probably only be able to find it specifically for hair at salons. I bought my coconut oil from a grocery store and its meant for cooking not hair haha but it works! As long as its not super processed. Extra virgin and organic is best! Hope the macadamia oil works well for you :)
