    Coolers?

So i've been thinking a lot about making my own cooler! Now I know most are made out of fleece, but I did find these coolers that are made out of sweatshirt material! TransitionPage

And they look so cool! But im just wondering if sweatshirt material works just as well as fleece does?

The true purpose of a cooler is to draw moisture away from the horse to help them dry faster and stay warm. I don't think sweatshirt material has the same wicking qualities as fleece or wool.

I've found that fleece holds moisture on the horse. I use the wickeasy by Weatherbeeta and it is really nice!

I made my own fleece cooler for my gelding. I used 2 layers of fleece, to be used under a medium weight turnout blanket. I personally would go with fleece, cause you can choose sweet designs.......my roo bug has SKULLS all over his lol, its pretty bad a
