    I don't have a gelding, but have a rescue mare, and they are right take it slow. I couldn't wash my girl when I got her but 4 months later she stands for her bath, don't like it but takes it. Took 6 months to clean and trim hooves, had real issues with that, still hates back feet touched and will occasionally cowkick (she's a pro). Sorry but you don't know what sets them off, Patience, patience and patience, it all comes out good with a little love mixed in!!!
