Is it disrespectful to show a horse with a roached mane in English classes?

My mare works 5-6 days a week outside, and sweats under her mane. Braiding it up removes the problem, but is time-consuming before every outing and she has a variety of rubbed spots in the mane that make it look uneven when braided; I braid the section sizes the same, but there are braids that are thin next to braids that are thick! I wouldn't mind shaving it off and letting it grow back in, but we have a show in November for training level Dressage and w/t/c Equitation + Equitation over fences. It's a local show, I can't find anything in the rulebook they have in regards to mane and tails other than that no fake tails are allowed. Would shaving the mane off be considered too unsightly?

You should probably ask someone who judges in these classes where you are
In the UK all show cobs are hogged (Roached) so if you compete in anything else that's how they are!!!
