    Depends on how dirty.

    In the summer I can mostly just use a soft brush to shine, load up and go. But right now when they are rolling in mud hole and full of fluff, I curry off all the mud and dirt, shedding blade for stray hair, hard brush to scrape off loose dirt, then soft brush to take off fine dust......then a little show sheen (not saddle area) to finish the groom.
