Does your horse like to groom you?

Sometimes when I'm brushing Ricci, she will get REALLY into it. She doesn't have an all the time itchy spot, but sometimes she just LOVES to be curried and I end up with dead arms because I don't want to stop since it makes her so happy. Sometimes she will start using her lips to "groom" my arms, back, whatever she can reach. Ricci doesn't bite, and she doesn't get nippy even though I hand feed her treats all the time [she just NEVER gets one if she's fishing, I bring the treat to HER mouth] so since she doesn't use her teeth or get too rough I let her do it because I think it's cute. I was just wondering if anyone else has a horse that likes to groom you back. =]

My three year old gelding thinks he's a person still. It's one of the things I love about him. I need to add him to my barn - I haven't because I don't have many good pictures of him.

But when I groom him, and comb his mane, he likes to play in my hair, like nuzzle the top of my head. It's cute. Though annoying after while, lol.

LOL, my old gelding used to come & nuzzle/lip my hair if I was doing something with another horse or if I was grooming him. Never any teeth or anything, just lips. Soda has started to do this recently. He would always smell me & such, but a couple of times this spring he has reached around and started grooming me. He's very unsure of himself when he doesn it though.

I don't think I've ever had a horse try to groom me but one 4 month old filly grabbed a hold of my pony tail and yanked on it once when she figured I wasn't paying enough attention to her!

Ricci also seems to have a fetish for foundation and when I go to the barn with make-up on she will rub her lips on my face and snuffle by my ears and hair, haha.

My two geldings, Loki (9) and Red (3) have very playful lips xD There half brothers so it's not surpising xD
I've been detangling Loki's mane and he's brought his big head over and just started fooling around with my shoulder. He pressed his teeth against me and just with -lipliplip--liplip--lipityliplip-. He's almost always relaxed and you can just mess around with his mouth, I can't help it honestly, it just cracks me up!

If you tickle Red's nostrils he'll 'smile', I often bother the heck out of him and just mess around with his mouth. And his ears...thats another thing I love. Those ears! There so... swivelish! Teehehee...Red used to hate it when I messed around with them but now he's used to it ;)

Sometimes when I'm messing with my mare's mane, she'll put her lips in between my shoulder and my neck and "groom" me, haha. I think it's cute, but I stop her after a little bit, because I've seen what she does with other horses...

Some of the horses that I have ridden rub on my hand with their lips when I scratch their withers. I like it, it seems like a nice bonding moment.

My horse, Uma, loves to do this! I've had her since she was 10 mos. Old (she's 7 now) and she's done it since I've had her. We call it "giraffe lips" because when she gets really itchy (mostly on her withers and under ner neck) she sticks her lip out and wiggles them :)

She loves grooming people but never bites. It's hilarious!

Haha, sometimes Daytona rubs her head against my neck when I'm brushing her mane; LOL, she's so silly. Then when I'm doing her hooves, she turns around & just nibbles my back *never bites* LOL, it's funny.
