So yesterday I went out to feed at my barn with the intention of riding after, however when I brought my horse inside I realized he had thrown a shoe. So instead I spent time grooming him, and my friend taght me how to do a running braid :) So here it is, My first "running braid" ever :) Next time I need to make the braid itseld bigger/thicker and make it a bit higher so I can get the scragly bits by his withers into it... hopefully :) But im proud of my handy work haha
very nice...I tried one yesterday but didn't get it to stay up high enough - yours is WAY better!!!
Thanks :) I to need to get mine higher up. There a chunk of short main about a handswidth long (well my size hand anyways) that didnt make it in. So that's my goal for next time lol
I don't ever braid that little bit in. Braiding it too tight will cause the horse pain when he flexes, and could rip hair out when he goes to eat some grass. Good job, though!
This is my first running braid. I do it loose enough and tie it with two elastic bands to help keep it in. My boy is so good, a running braid will last him a week before it comes unraveled :)
Would love to take credit for this but sadly I cannot.
My sister's first running braid, she unlike me actually knows how to deal with hair. I'm flat out even doing simple plait .
