Default Fly Spray for next summer:Super Shield Green?

I've used many different fly sprays over the years and this past summer I tried a more natural approach and used EQyss Marigold Fly Spray. While it might smell better than the more chemical type fly sprays, I was not happy with it's ability to keep the flies off my horse. Sooooo before I resort to harsher chemicals, I was thinking this next summer I would try : Super Shield Green with Citronella, tea tree oil and witch hazel. I would love to hear from anyone who has used this.......................did it work? Does it keep the flies reasonably at bay? Any other suggestions are welcome too, thanks!

I used it on my mare and her foal this past summer since it's all natural. It helped, but wasn't all that great. Smelled wonderful - like peppermints. But my QH sprayed with RepelX was a lot more comfortable looking.

But next summer everybody will be sprayed with RepelX - definitely chemical-ly smelling - but it works soooo much better.

None of the more natural stuff has helped keep the flies at bay for me. I use pyranha in the aerosol can.
