Getting fluffy already!

Simba's coat is already getting thicker

We're not even out of August yet and we seem to already be on the way to a winter coat. It couldnt stay off for another week with our last show on SUnday could it?

Anybody else seeing the signs of fuzz ball ponies yet?

Lacey too! She's totally done shedding her summer coat and her "winter" coat is already to "normal" horse winter coat length (her average winter coat is 4-5inches long ).

It's ridiculous. I rode her at a walk for not even 15 minutes today, just around the pasture, and she was thoroughly sweated up by the time I unsaddled her (it was 72* out). I definitely see a nice trace clip in our future, again, this winter.

Usually her hair is like that^^ by the second week of September, not the last week of August!

Yeap 2 out of 4 horses are shedding out there summer coats already , I love the fuzzies :)

My mare is shedding, although her winter coat just looks like her summer coat but it sticks out straight, so she has little hairs sticking out every where at the moment.
