    I rub them down really good w/ the nubby side for 10-15 minutes and it gets them really clean and shiny. It lifts all the dirt, dead skin, shedding hair, etc., to the surface and gives the coat a nice luster when followed w/ a medium bristle brush and then a soft brush.
    Those brushes are amazing. I have one and I LOVE IT. So nice to use.
