Hey guys do you have any ideas how to braid my appys thin short mane

You could just band it so it lays flat.

Sometimes you just have to embrace the "problem" and work with it. Try trimming it into a slight arch so the middle is about 2" high. Starting at the pole then arching up to the middle of the neck then down to the wither. That way everything is uniform and the shape complements the neck. Then instead of looking like an appy with no mane it will look like you did it on purpose.
