Herbal Essence

Is it alright to use Herbal Essence shampoo and conditioner on my mare? I just didn't know if it contained any ingredients that could be bad to use on a horse. Haha sorry it's a silly question I know.

Also could you use dawn dish soap to give them a bath with?

I've used dish soap and regular shampoo to bath horses with. A lot of people use human shampoo on their horses, since horse shampoo seems to be more expensive.

No, do not use Herbal Essences on your horse. Something in the formula reacts with the something in the horse's sin and causes them to smell bad.

You could buy horse shampoo and conditioner such as Mane n' Tail, or you could go out and buy human shampoo. I like to use VO5.

There are so many herbal essence fragrances, I can't imagine all of them making your horse stink. I know for a fact they make my stinky dog smell pretty.

I use suave for regular quicky baths.

I used to go to BJ's or Sams and get the gallon sized shampoo; however, I have not seen them in those stores for a while. Now I go to a beauty supply store (Sally's Beauty Supply in my area) to get the gallon sized shampoo and conditioner. They have been on sale for 3.99/gallon for the past week or so. Can't beat it!
