To hog or not to hog?

Soooo I was thinking of hogging(shaving off) my minis mane. I know crazy! BUT it's so super thick and it's making him super sweaty. It won't stay in braids for very long(1 day). What do you guys think?

I think if you're going to hog him then I would leave the forelock on to soften the look since he's not got the typical thickset neck of the type of horse you normally see hogged but if he's uncomfortable with a mane then definitely off with that mane. It's only hair, if you don't like the look it will grow back.

Ok I did it! I don't think it look too bad =) He got a hose down after to help cool off too. I'll get better pics after the farrier leaves. His first time with the farrier since I'v had him and his forth time with the farrier total. Wish me luck!

Right now mostly just play with him lol Ground work(picking feet, desencitazing, ect.) a little lunging and ground driving. I hope to have a harness and cart eventually. He's a super smart boy and loves working.
