Homeade Grooming Supplies?

Hey guys, so to cut down on money, I was wondering if anyone had any homeade grooming supplies? For example: fly spray(I know it's not a grooming supply, but whatever), hoof oil(using Absorbine Hooflex currently), white spot remover, and anything else you can think of!

Okay this is going to sound weird (I have never tried any of this personally but I've seen and heard people do it) alot of people I know back home use these:
vegetable oil on their hooves to make them shiny, bacon grease on their coat to make it shiny and to help bald spots grow, feeding them tobacco as dewormer, feeding them garlic to help prevent flies, baby oil in their hair as detangler (I've done this it works also makes them shine up real nice for shows just don't over do it).
Those are just weird things I've heard people do back home, again I never tried them well only the baby oil one but they are very weird and I'm not 100% sure if they work but a fly spray recipe I have found online that I've tried that really works for me is:
6 caps full of Skin so Soft
1 cup white vinegar
just a good squirt of Ivory liquid soap

I have also tried:

4 oz Skin So Soft
1 oz citronella oil
12 oz vinegar
12 oz water

It worked for me too.

We use bacon grease on the horses for flys. I know folks who give their horses cigar butts for worms. And have used garlic on ours for flys. Can't say I have put the research in that the universities have, but I haven't had any negative results from some old cowboy treatments.
