homemade fly spray

I have heard of ppl making fly spray and it sounds like a great idea! It sounds like it works pretty good and it would be much cheaper. Does anyone know of any recipes for it? By the way is this healthy for the horse? Im sorry if there are other posts like this! Thanks in advance =]

I use 1 Cup Avon Skin So Soft Oil, 1 Cup Vinegar and 4 cups water! Works pretty good, I also use dryer sheets for the face area.

And don't forget Marigolds. They have pyrithrens [sp?] that repel flys.. Just toss the flower in with the mixture.

I use apple cider vinegar with a squirt of dish soap(keeps it from sweating off) I used to water it down but I find that it works better if I use it straight.
