    Sometimes horses that have their neck out of alignment are overly sensitive to grooming or doing up the girth. A visit from a chiropractor often works wonders.

    I think though that you are going the right way about it by taking your time and using the lambs wool mit. Not having any flesh over her bones will make it rather uncomfortable to be brushed.
